Edward Elric...The Full Metal Alchemist...

I really think HYDE of L'Arc~en~Ciel looks like...
 Edward Elric...

If only his eyes were golden...

Whenever I watch Full Metal Alchemist
and think Edward looks like this,
I'm very happy...

He even dressed like Edward...

My collection...

 A full set of 51 Episodes, 26 VCD's in 5 metal boxes.
I don't have the DVD sets coz they're so expensive.

And some cell straps, of course!!

I have 2 sets of the top and the bottom ones
coz I lost the medal that came with the bottom set
and I've been so upset for a long, long time!
The medal flashes multi-colored lights whenever there's a signal
but that's not the point.
I just found the new set yesterday. I'm so glad!!

I was so obsessed with it and it must be too obvious, hahaha,
coz  the DVD store gave me
this BIG promotional cut-out standing in front of the shop...

It's almost of the same height as me.
So imagine trying to lug it home!!

  +
Fullmetal Alchemist and HYDE, 2 things I like, together...

A~ah, Hagaren...
Didn't like the anime, but am in love with manga.
Have you read the manga?

I read some but quit, hahaha.

I don't have patience to follow long manga month after month without knowing when it's gonna end.
And sometimes you follow a title to some point and then the author just quit!!! Mostly, coz it was made into anime or dorama. And I'd get a heartache.
Or worse still, the publisher in my country quits.
And some titles just go on and on and on, like a million episodes, hahaha.

I don't speak Japanese so I have to wait until the titles were translated into Thai and published.
This anime is even dubbed in Thai, hahaha.

I still have to go buy the movie version.
Heard manga, anime and movie are all different!! How imaginative!!

How do you follow manga in Russia?

I don't think that manga, anime and movie being different is all that big of a deal. Since anime was made way faster than manga, naturally it followed different storyline. It was the same way with Marmalade Boy (first manga that popped into my mind, lol) and some other titles.
I think I still prefer manga version - it has much deeper and intricate plotline, with many small side-stories that come together in brilliant portrets of characters and their relationships.
But I'm a manga (and book) freak, so I might be biased :)

We don't get manga in Russian at all. Or at least we don't get it published. We only got three titles published officially at the moment, and they are the legends already - because you can't find them anywhere, lol.
But we have scanlations - scans with translated speech - made by fans and distributed freely in the Internet.
But actually I don't read manga in Russian at all. Since people started translating it only recently, most of translations are full of errors and translated from English instead of Japanese. So I just don't bother - I read English translations. Or, rather, don't read anything at all - last manga I read was some middle part of Nana. I just don't have tiiiiime :( and interesting manga is so hard to come by...
