He said his mom made this for him to overcome the dread of aubergines.
It's very easy.
You dry fried the aubergines in very little sesame oil.
Then served with mayonnaise and shoyu.
And of course, rice.
Be careful with the Japanese mayo, it is very thick.
What I put up there is a little too much.
And this is delicious!!
