Yeah, they're super expensive. Hence why I only bought a couple and can't keep ordering... Sucks living on my own with all of my own bills to pay. Can't buy pretty boy stuff.

This is much cheaper than the site I use!! O_O Good*Come is like... $27 T_T And Cool Up is $20. Do you use like a specialized store or something, something like Mitsuwa or Kinokuniya? I'm certain those aren't mainstream site prices...

Wow...You really do buy a lot of magazines O.O I'm very glad you scan these for everyone. I really appreciate it and I'm pretty sure everyone else does too. I was lucky enough to get some magazines while I was in Japan, but not nearly as many as I wanted. ;_;

I generally use YesAsia... although some of the prices are higher, I do find the speed of shipping to be excellent. I'm presuming that they have a network of partner distributors and have your order sent by the nearest one, because all of mine have actually come to me from within my own country (Britain), not shipped from overseas.

I'm sorry if this is going to bother you, but I have a couple of questions.
Next month I'll have to renew my mags subscription, but I'm not sure I'm gonna confirm them all (I get Junon, Duet and Potato) and maybe get something else (besides Junon, cause I love that mag).

1) How often do bino, GOOD COME, Neo Actor and Television HOMME come out? (like every 2-3 months)

2) Where is it possible to get those mags? Searching through HMV japan and YesAsia I can't often find what I'm looking for.

3) In your honest opinion, which one between Duet, Potato and Wink Up is better if I look more for actors than for Johnny's?

1) Around 2-3 months each. But not always. For example, the latest TV HOMME came out after a 7 month-hiatus. New magazine can emerge and then stop publishing any time.

One way to check how often a magazine will come out is to search the name of the magazine in amazonjp website and you will get the picture.


2) All the mags you ask for in No.1 can be found in amazonjp which has been my main supplier because they have the most varieties. And when you buy more, you save on the shipping charge.

Most importantly, they group the items and ship. For example, if you buy 3 magazines in stock now and pre-order another 2 items that will come out 3 weeks later, they will automatically put the 3 magazines in stock in a group and ship out first and put the pre-ordered items in another group and ship later without extra cost. No other supplier will do this for you. Every place will wait until all the items are in stock and then ship together or else you have to pay extra or split the order which will cost you more.


HMV is getting better at stocking magazines but they are still weird. For example, I cannot find Cool-up there while they sell every other magazine from that same publishing house. Then why leave out Cool-up?

3) Those 3 magazines are JE-centric. Actors outside JE can be found in so many magazines. Try searching in amazonjp. On the cover of each magazine there lists the names of the actors featuring inside. Or if you follow the actors from their blogs, normally they will list in which magazines they will be in.
